Project stuck in compound clip

I was working on a project and I put some clips into a compound clip. When I tried to delete a part of the compound clip, weird lines came up on the timeline. I quit final cut pro and re-entered it, and the lines were fixed but now only my clips inside the compound clip are showing. The arrows are greyed out so I can’t go from the compound clip to the regular timeline, and there’s a compound clip symbol to the left of my project name. Is there any way to fix it? (Sunday service clip 1 is the name of my compound clip) I’m really desperate because I have to have this done by tonight.

The arrows are forward and backward like a browser. When you reopen the application it opens the timeline with the last thing that was in it, for you the compound clip. Because it just opened there is no forward or backward. Open the project from the browser.
