Webcam keeps freezing

I have been experiencing webcam freezing across all video platforms (facebook messenger, facetime, skype, zoom) and obviously in our current pandemic its a bit annoying when trying to socialise with friends.

The webcam will start, work as normal for a varying amount of time 5-15mins and then freeze, where it will then turn green or black.

MacOS Catalina version 10.15.4

MacBook Air 13-inch Mid 2013

Any help would be so useful, I tried to fix this a few years ago and couldn't find any working solutions on the forums and unfortunately still can't now.

I understand that you are having issues with the camera on your MacBook Air freezing during use (Facebook Messenger, FaceTime, Skype, Zoom). Lets start by isolating the issue by testing the issue in a new user and in safe mode. Take a look at the following support articles for guidance on doing this.
