Episodes of My Podcast Are Missing from Apple Podcasts

I launched my podcast, The Matt Kollock Show, last week with four episodes. For some reason, when I click on a link to the show in Apple Podcasts, it goes to a page that only seems to recognize episode two. However, when I go to the show in my library, it displays all four episodes, as it should.

This is embarrassing because I've been telling people, "all four episodes of my podcast are on Apple Podcasts!" When they click the link, they just see episode two.

I am using Podbean. This is my RSS. Here's a link to the show in Apple Podcasts.

I changed the podcast artwork to ensure that it's less than 500 kb. I noticed that the updated artwork is not selected when I check the show from the link. But when I check the show in my library (where all episodes can be found), the updated artwork is included.

I wonder if there is something weird happening because I have individual-episode art, too. Could that be screwing with things?

I've refreshed the feed several times.

All four episodes appear when you subscribe in iTunes. Also if you search on the title in the iTunes Store all for episodes show up as well as the overall podcast. However as you say only episode 2 appears in the Store page. CastFeed Validator also shows all four episodes.

So I don't know what is going on. It's not unknown for the Store to behave oddly occasionally, but as you've tried refreshing the feed without result I think it's time to contact Podcasts Support. Go to https://itunespartner.apple.com/en/podcasts/overview and click the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of the page.

Hi Matt and Roger,

I am experiencing an almost identical issue with my new podcast. There are four episodes in the RSS feed, they showed up for a while on Apple Podcasts, then it reverts back to just one episode. In fact it reverts back to an old version of the RSS feed because the description is also an older version. But 3 of the episodes I could previously view in Apple Podcasts have now disappeared. I haven't solved the problem yet, but I wanted you to know it's a very similar issue to your one.

FYI - we have been hearing about this issue from many shows - looks like the issue goes back to end of last week.

It is spread across multiple podcast hosts. This looks to be an Apple issue affecting a small % of shows.

Apple is aware of the issue and is looking into it.

Thank you for your kind answer.

It's good to know that the problem is spread over other podcasts; however the fact that I'm not the only one does not reassure me, especially if this problem has been noticed since several days.

There are people that use podcast for working reasons, and they can't afford to have a disservice like that from a reliable and well known company as Apple is.

Hope everything will be solved shortly...

UPDATE!

Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences. It's nice to know I wasn't experiencing my frustration alone.

I emailed support, as Roger suggested, two days ago. Yesterday I noticed my podcast had updated in the store, finally showing the proper artwork and all available episodes.

It is unclear whether contacting support prompted a fix/refresh behind the scenes, or if the problem sorted itself out.

Same problem in my podcast.

Have you solved? I've tried everything: change the cover art, refresh, etc..

Maybe they did something in the background with your feed. For me the problem still exists. I’ve just contacted the support for myself and hope they will fix it soon
