Trouble migrating data to new mac over wifi

I had trouble migrating data from my old mac to my new mac because I didn't have the correct cable and my wifi was slow (111 hours that froze). I decided to break up the migration by first migrating just the applications. This worked fine (3 hours!). When I went back to try to migrate the user content, the new mac says that migration is complete and it won't let me migrate again. How can I migrate the rest of my information?

MacBook Pro 16", macOS 10.15

I would get the correct cable adapter and use the setup assistant on the initial bootup of the new machine. This is the most trouble free way of moving from one machine to a new machine— you can pickup right where you left off.

Wi-Fi is the slowest way to run Migration and sometimes it will not even complete. The quickest way is from your Time Machine backup disk connected directly to the new Mac. The second best is via Ethernet.

I'm not sure why you're getting the message Migration is complete and it won't allow you migrate again. Did you disconnect from Wi-Fi?

If that doesn't work you could just wipe the new Mac and try again with a faster mode.
