How can I save all my bookmarks to a flash-drive?

According to: Import bookmarks, history, and passwords from other browsers in Safari on Mac - Apple Support
"Export bookmarks
I hope it is not too late, but you can save your Bookmarks.
In Safari if you click on File in the menubar, from the
submenu click Export Bookmarks.
Another window will open where you can select where to save them to,
they are saved as an html document and can be used to
import into Safari on other macs or possibly other browser.
Thanks for your response. What I am attempting to do is save all of my Bookmarks to a thumb-drive so when I upgrade my Safari from 10.10.5 to 10.11.6 I can preserve them in case of any issues. Is that possible?
Html means hypertext markup language, is often used in web pages.
You can read here, https://study.com/academy/lesson/what-is-an-html-document-structure-types-examples.html
As your Bookmarks grow or if you delete some you can export the list using the method above
you can give each export a different name if you want to keep a record of them all.
Yes you can just overwrite the previous bookmark html if you want, I was just suggesting that if you have deleted
or added bookmarks you may want to keep a record of each set, the html is very small in size, so there are no problems of it eating up valuable disk space.
It's your mac, do what you like with it, think things out for yourself.

Yes, follow the instructions from the previously linked Support Article.
Hello,
You cannot.
I am curious. What does html mean? I would guess an acronym? If I add or delete Bookmarks in the future would I just repeat the same process?
If I save to Safari Bookmarks.html > Documents and I add or delete bookmarks over time can't I re-save as I would any other document that I updated. Won't it just over right (save changes)?
