My Macbook has a 29W and the new MBA has a 30W. The voltage and other stuff regarding electricity which I don't understand, was also different when I looked at the description on the adapter, which is the reason I was hesitant. Anyway, I'm also charging through my monitor (connected via a single USB-C cable) so I guess that's even more different than the 29W adapter.

By the way your MacBook may have come with either a 29 W or a 30 W power adapter. You can use either one with no adverse effects.
