Using Photo management software on files stored on a NAS

Hi,

I have over 600Gb of photo and video files which are stored on a NAS, Raid 1, I had wanted to use Photos to manage the files but as I am now aware I cannot have the library on the NAS. I am running OS 10.15.4 so looking for suggestions.

My perfect solution would be to have an application that would allow the library to be also on the NAS and allow at least two users. My wife and I use MBP's.

Any suggestions and just a shame Photos doesn't manage this?

You might try Lightroom, NeoFinder, ACDSee, Adobe Lightroom, Capture One Pro. Luminar, Picktorial, PhotoDirector 365, Movavi Photo Manager, and AfterShot Pro.

NeoFinder is primarily a file management tool and should work on a NAS. I've used it with external HDs, but don't know if it will work with a NAS. You can try the demo version.

Some may not work with NAS servers but you'll have to check that out.
