Mail App Keeps Opening Randomly since FOREVER (now Catalina 10.15.3)

We have had this problem since forever and I don't even know how to ask you anymore.

I really don't care if the problem is Apple or Google.

Millions of people have a gmail account and it's crazy that the mail app cannot work fine with that.

We pay a lot of money for a machine that's awesome, and then we're stuck in such bull**t!!

It's incredibly annoying.

PLEASE JUST SOLVE THIS PROBLEM!!

This should have been a temporary solution, not a permanent one! In the Mail app you can choose a Gmail account, so Apple should solve this problem! Or at least remove that option!

Stop using Mail with Gmail. Gmail isn't designed to work in an IMAP email client. It pretends to, but can't seem to pull it off.

Just use the web portal or find a purpose-built app that can work with Gmail's idiosyncrasies.
