Unable to make purchases in Pokémon GO

When attempting to purchase Pokécoins in Pokémon Go app, I receive the following error message: “something went wrong. Please try again later.” I have rest my phone, ensured no restrictions are enabled, changed my Pokémon Go password, and turned on/off my WiFi. Still the error message persists.

OMG OMG I turned off Apple Cash and it worked - You were right!!! Except in my case, Apple Pay is still on, but Apple Cash is off.

First, I removed my bank account from Apple Cash, and removed PayPal from the payment methods for iTunes, and only left the Apple Credit card in the wallet and iTunes, and then I shut off Apple Cash.

Then I tried to make a purchase in the PoGo shop and it worked!!

I think the bank account definitely has something to do with it, because today my bank literally SHUT OFF my debit card without even asking me if the $1.00 purchase for the PoGo ticket was fraud. They just shut it off. And I got a push notification on my phone that the debit card was no longer available for making purchases. And the debit card was tied to Apple Cash. OMG this Apple payment system is SO MESSED UP.

BUT IT WORKED!!!

Ok, fixing this is pretty easy:

  1. Make a new pokemon GO account.
  2. Set the age to something between 12-14years old.
  3. You will have to login on your account because 12-14year is to young to make an account (child account)
  4. Once you logged in you now have a child account that is linked to your main account, and thus can recieve purchased goods made from your apple ID.
  5. Open the ticket/shop and check for the ticket/money bundle you bought, it should now be added into this account.
  6. Thats it, you are now able to make purchases again.

As far as i know this is the only way to fix this rn, so gl :)

So the other day I thought my problem was fixed. I had the best Apple iTunes agent...very polite...very helpful. After I finished my call she said that my ghastly community day duplicate charge was removed and would be receiving a refund. I was able for just 24 hours to purchase items even though I didn’t take advantage of it.....until...this morning. I woke up to an email from Apple stating they denied my request for refund for 1.98. I was done!!! I can’t believe a company that dominates financially cannot refund a 1.98 for what clearly shows is a duplicate charge. Really??? I thought as an Apple user, Apple was supposed to support any issues with apps etc when we had to dispute erroneous charges. It seems like they don’t care about their customers. With all of these people complaining of the same erroneous charges...class action lawsuits can handle this kind of fraudulent action.
