How can I use my iPhone camera on MacBook Air in a videoconference?

My 2020 MacBook Air has a lousy FaceTime / Webcam (very unhappy about that). How can I use my iPhone camera instead as a webcam on my MacBook Air so that I can share my MacBook Air screen in a videoconference?

Hello Dunamis7,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you have a question about using the FaceTime camera on your Mac. I'd be happy to share information that may help.

First, try using the your MacBook Air in a well-lit area to see if that resolves the issue you're experiencing.

You wouldn't be able to use your iPhone an external camera on your Mac. If you'd like, you're welcome to leave feedback here: Product Feedback.

Take care.
