IPod shuffle 4th generation stuck in a deadlock...

Hey guys, I have an ipod shuffle 4th generation that will not charge nor will it be recognized by my IMac. A while ago, it stopped charging, but it has a 5 second red light. Sometimes, I can get the light to stay on red while connected to power. How to I get my ipod out of this deadlock?

By the way, it will not turn on and I've tried "resetting" it.

Hello,

Unfortunately your iPod’s battery has failed. Due to the age of the device there is nothing you can do to repair it as Apple has obsoleted this iPod model.
