I'm having difficulty getting my new watch series 3 set up with verizon. The Rep I chatted with just zoomed right ahead and ordered a sim card for my watch. Doesn't the Series 3 use eSIM? If not, how do you install the SIM card in the watch????
All cellular Apple Watches use an eSIM. There is not physical SIM card.
First, does your Apple Watch Series 3 have a Red Dot 🔴 on the Digital Crown? If it does NOT, then you do not have a cellular radio in your Apple Watch. If there is a Red Dot, you have cellular radio, and can set up cellular service
The Cellular Apple Watch shares the iPhone's phone number.
So Verizon should be talking about setting up your Apple Watch with your iPhone's phone number.

Hi Bob! Thanks for your reply. We did our homework. It does have a Red Dot on the Digital Crown.
Everyone is overwhelmed in Support teams now, I think. The Verizon agent was uninformed apparently. It's just really difficult to find anyone to actually talk to.
