Going to try and keep this as short as possible..

Does iCloud not automatically save/backup pictures and videos?

My iPhone was broken a year or two ago and I lost my sd card thing. Everyone told me that everything should automatically be saved in the cloud but I can't seem to find anything. My dad's funeral pictures and pictures and videos from when he was still alive. All of my sons baby pictures and videos.

Is there a way I could possibly recover any of that?

Someone anyone please help!

As per the article https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT204264

  • On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 10.3 or later, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Photos, then turn on iCloud Photos.

In the broken iphone if photo box was checked , the photos will definitely synced with iCloud server and are saved .

The photos can be viewed at www.icloud.com using a web browser , sign in with same Apple ID and password that was used in an iPhone .
