My mom borrowed my iPad and changed my Apple ID to a different email

So my mom borrowed my iPad so my grandfather could use it while he was in the hospital. Idk how she managed it but she changed my Apple ID on both my iPad and my iPhone which are linked together. I managed to change it back but now all of my apps are owned by the other Apple ID and when I go to update them it’s asking me for the password from the other Apple ID. How do I switch it back?

A Few Thoughts:

  • Are these the Same Devices?:

Are these your device? Or are they someone else’s devices? View the devices associated to your account, and make sure that the serial numbers match up.

  • Device:Account Association:

A purchase can only be associated to one Apple ID; it is non-transferable. So, if it is still available to download from the App Store, then you should be able to download it. She cannot have your own purchases.

  • Verify the eMail Addresses:

So, make sure that another eMail address is not assigned to your Apple ID. If you can log in, obviously you are connected to your account. Be certain that the Apple ID has your own eMail address when going into Settings and clicking on your name on the very top of the screen.

Account Security:

Also. with your Apple ID being of high concern here, most certainly, consider performing the following:

  • modifying your login credentials (New eMail and New Password)

  • associating a different method of payment to your account

Did she change your Apple ID or use a different ID? Are you using the same Apple ID that you used to make the purchases? If you check the purchases history for the Apple ID you are currently using, do the apps show there? If your mother changed your Apple ID, did you create a new Apple ID using the old email address? If so, you are using a different ID.
