Update failure iPhone 7

My phone has been corrupted by an update that failed. I've tried everything that has been recommended on the internet and by Apple customer service (short of mailing it in). It still says it needs to be updated, even tho it says it has the latest version and there are no updates.

I even 'forced' an update thru iTunes and it still says the update failed.

Can i just reset or scrub my iPhone 7 and restore my latest backup via iTunes?

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't turn on or is frozen - Apple Support

Try Recovery Mode...Press and hold the Top (or Side) and Volume Down buttons at the same time. Keep holding them until you see the recovery mode screen.
