Hello,
I have a MacBook Air , version 10.9.5. The Webcam won't work in zoom, photoshop and face time. Apps won't detect camera.
Please help.
Also I cannot uninstall Catalina

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities, and it appears apps are not detecting the camera. I'll gladly do what I can to help.
Here are some suggestions:
- Make sure those apps have access to the camera: Control access to your camera on Mac
- Restart your Mac from the Apple () menu then Restart.
- To narrow it down, also be sure to check your Mac in safe mode: How to use safe mode on your Mac You can also try a new user as well: How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac
- If it only happens in your user and not in safe mode, try removing login items that access the camera: Open items automatically when you log in on Mac
- If it happens in both safe mode and a new user, back up your Mac and reinstall macOS using Recovery which reinstalls the system files needed for the camera: How to reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery
The version you listed would be Mavericks. You wouldn't need to uninstall Catalina. If you mean the installer, you can move it to the trash from the Applications folder.
