Does the iphone se 2020 come with sim card
iPhone SE
When I purchased the new iPhone SE last week, there were two options in terms of activation. 1) Have apple activate it for you (need some info from your phone carrier), or 2) activate it yourself upon arrival.
I chose the latter option, and now am worried because I'm not sure the exact steps I need to do in order to get my new phone up and running. I'm assuming I need to remove the SIM card from my old iPhone 6S and insert it into my new iPhone SE before I can get up and running? Are there any detailed instruction on how to do this??
I just helped someone replace their broken iPhone 7 with an iPhone SE 2020, it was an unlocked model. We took her AT&T SIM from the old iPhone and put it in the new one and it worked immediately. If there was a problem with the SE as you state that would not have been possible. This is purely a Boost/Verizon/Sprint issue, they need to fix their SIMs.
Not my 1st rodeo but I've have Cricket for about 5 years since my daughter dropped us (my grandkids & me) from her family plan LOL because we are all adults now LOL and her costs were on overload. I've had great service with Cricket for a single plan: $35/mo if you auto-pay.
If you are transferring service from a previous phone with the same carrier just take the SIM out of the old phone and put it in the new phone. This will transfer the account to the new phone, and is part of the setup process.
What is the exact wording of the message? There are different reasons you may have trouble activating, and the wording of the message will help diagnose the cause.
Boost is notorious for not accepting carry in phones which is why you are getting that message.
Plus monthly fee?
I had Boost already! He just activated my new IPhone SE.
Cool because I went through the storm on the phone trying to activate new phone, but I was using a sim from the 6 😬 so I’m going to store tomorrow! Stay safe and wear a 😷 lol
I'm not seeing how Apple is responsible for this. They have nothing to do with Boost.
I disagree. Apple sucks.
Apple doesn’t tell you this when you give them $420!
So you are saying that Apple is responsible for making Boost’s SIM cards? How does that work?
I chose Virgin not Boost and never had a problem. Are YOU for real?
How could Apple have known that Boost had a problem with their SIMs?
It can’t possibly be identical. Every SIM card is unique, has a unique serial number and may have other differences. However, you should be able to put the card from the old phone in the new phone.
