Computer keeps restarting

I have a iMac and recently it has been restarting randomly. I am not a tech person, but I know that is not supposed to happen.

I looked at the report that is generated and it is saying something about it restarted because of a panic function?

I can only guess, but as a test...

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?
