Status bar items appear larger in the middle of my screen when I touch the icons.
When I touch the status bar icons they popup enlarged on the middle of my screen. What setting allows for this to happen?

I understand from your post that you are seeing the status bar icons pop up on your iPhone screen. What you are describing sounds like an Accessibility feature. To turn off Accessibility features double-tap the screen with three fingers.
