Voice Memo

I have recorded Voice on my iPhone 5, And now trying to play the recorded file it's going/playing but cannot hear the sound.

Sent the file to another iPhone 8 through WhatsApp still the same issue

Hey,

Have you checked whether the memo has recorded properly? On the latest versions of iOS you can see a waveform of the track as it plays. Perhaps this may be a straight line for you - indicating the audio has not been recorded properly.

Try recording the track again, and ensure you do not cover the microphones - next to the camera, earpiece, and lightning port both on iPhone 5 and iPhone 8.

Thank you much for you assistance, So I just checked the file's Waveform and it is Straight line. Not sure what happened.

In this case is there anything that I can do to retrieve the original file.

I've already tried Decoding the file through text editor app as well as using the CMD method.

I had this file for long time It's been working just fine, then all sudden stopped working.

May be some bug with encoding? Try sending it to some media player like VLC with Share, will it play there (tap on the note > three dots on the left > Share)?
