MacBook Pro 16": Weird broad vertical bar on display
Hey, gang! It's the strangest thing - and I only noticed it about a week ago. My machine was manufactured in early November 2019. Everything about it is flawless - apart from a broad, vertical bar that has now started appearing onscreen. It's only really visible on a white background. As you can see in the image (taken with my iPhone), that's what I'm dealing with. Depending on my TrueTone or Nightshift settings, it changes colour ever so slightly. It's not impacting the functioning of the display in any way. When I boot up in Recovery Mode, at that transition just before it loads the Recovery screen, the display turns white. Then the bar isn't there at all; the display is perfectly and completely white. At first I thought it was image retention, but obviously it's not. It somehow seems to be software related. Could that be? Have any of you experienced something similar? Help!
