iPad battery drains when not in use

I have an IPad 5th generation that I got in 2017 and it used to be very good on battery life and I could go three days without charging it but recently if I don’t use it the battery drains. It was on 100% this morning and I didn’t use it for around 7 or 8 hours and now it’s at 46% and even when I do use it, it dies fast. This is a recent problem and just all of a sudden happened, the battery didn’t gradually get bad or anything.

Tap on the link below to my iDevice/iOS performance/optimisation/battery optimization user tips link.

While this is in old link/tip, I update this from time to time and many of the things listed in this tip link still apply.

Slow iPad on iOS 9, 10 or 11! - Apple Community

Try all of these tips and leave each tip active together.

DO NOT simply try every tip individually, expecting just one tip to be a performance “cure all”.

Many of these tips are designed to work together to help improve overall iOS/iDevice performance.

Good Luck!
