iPhone XR Spotty Bluetooth connection

I recently have been having trouble with the Bluetooth on my iPhone XR. The phone pairs to devices, but after a few minutes the sound coming from devices will cut in and out badly. I have experienced this with 3 devices, two of which I have tested with my iPad. I definitely know it’s an issue with my phone as the devices worked perfect with the iPad. I have tried some things to fix this: unpaired and repaired the devices, reset the network settings, did a hard reset, and updated to the latest software. Despite all that however I’m still having issues. I’m beginning to think it’s a problem with the actual Bluetooth hardware. Any suggestions?
