My 13" MacBook Pro 2017 Touch Bar refuses to charge.
The battery icon always says "The Battery is not charging, Power Source: Power Adapter".
I have to reset SMC every other day to get it to charge again.
As soon as I reset SMC it starts charging, but then again stops after a day of usage or so.
If anyone has a solution, please let me know.

Its probably because of the new battery management feature on catalina 10.15.5 , there are lot of users discussing this, may be its related to that update, try turning that feature off and let us know, i am having the same issue.
same problem for me. I turned off the battery management feature introduced on Catalina 10.15.5 and shut down my Mac for a day. this fixed the issue for me.
You shouldn't have to reset SMC that often. In fact it's not common to reset SMC more than once or twice during the lifetime of the computer. You should get in touch with Apple Support. Do you have AppleCare Plus?
I have the exact same laptop and are currently suffering from the same issue. I believe the issue is caused by the update of operating system, as in my case, the issue only didn't appear until I install the new OS update.
Hello, it might be a good idea to keep Battery Management turned on, I experienced the same issue and initially panicked but it makes sense for the battery to discharge a little (mine discharges to 91% then charges back to 100%) when you have been connected to power for too long. This is to preserve the chemical age of the battery.
I know, that's what I thought.
I recently had my keyboard replaced as part of the free replacement Apple was running. They also replaced the battery and a few other things. I feel like this is an issue that occurred after the replacement was made.
My computer unfortunately isn't under warranty anymore and I don't have AppleCare either.
India is currently under a lockdown too, so I guess I'll just have to wait it out till I can contact the service centre again.
