Video

There are a number of video files that are stored in "Documents." Can anyone tell me why this happened? Can I move them to "Movies?"

Movies that are stored in the documents folder would only be there if you saved them there. When you share out a movie from an iMovie project the share boxes that appear will let you select where you want to save the movie. In your case you didn't realize that it was being saved to the Documents folder. If you want a destination other than the Documents folder, such as your Desktop, you can choose that option and you movie will go there.


Yes, you can drag your movies from the documents folder to the movies folder using the normal drag procedure. Click on the Finder icon in the dock (the square with the smiling face on it). Open the Documents folder and drag your movie onto the Movies folder icon in the sidebar until it selects (turns blue). Then release. The movie will import into the Movies folder.
