WIFI no longer appears on left-hand pane in Network. How do you get it back? WIFI doesn't appear as a selection in Interface. and hitting + button doesn't show it either. Wireless symbol is grayed out at top of screen. Only options there are Turn WIFI off, Join other Network, or Open Network Preferences.

Boot into Safe Mode (How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support) by booting with the Shift key held down and check there to see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and test again.
NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 10 minutes as it's doing some system cache cleaning, volume verifying and directory repairing.
If it still isn't available in the System preferences download and apply the macOS Catalina 10.15.4 Combo Update. Then see if it's returned.

Does the WiFi still show up in your System Report?

What kind of mac do you have? MacBook Pro 2012-2014 by chance?

i ve got same problem as yours. i ve been tryin everything on web for one month to get it fixed. i have not found any solution for this.
ive done fresh reinstall of osx el mojave, catalina, i have installed wifi drivers manually, location tricks, a lot of commands in terminal, no result, changing de wifi adapter
!!But wifi works in Bootcamp(windows 10) & Ubunt and this seems to be crazy
Yes, it shows up in system report.
Adding the update got it back into the left-hand pane but with a red dot.
That means it's not connected. Go go the WiFi menu in the menu bar and select the network you want to join:
Not showing any networks.
Turn WIFI on, but button won't work. Status stays OFF.
