iMac Mojave 10.14.6. When composing a new mail message, if I click on the paper clip icon I am provided with a partial list of files on my mac. New documents I created are not listed. I can still do drag and drop but I want to see a full list of files that I can choose. Can anybody help with a simple solution? Thanks.

You should be able to navigate anywhere in the file system using the sidebar or folder popup menu in the title bar.
Are you viewing the folder where you new files had been created?
