Battery Not Charging after IOS 13.1.4 update

My Iphone 7 battery looks like it's charging (with the lightning bolt), but is actually losing battery power. My phone has been erratic in charging...sometimes, plugged in any no charging is happening at all. Or if it does charge it takes 10 minutes to move 2%.

Is there any help out there?

Thank you!

mother ~ If your iPhone 7 has its original battery, then perhaps it needs replacing. See the Battery Health section in this first article:

I don't whether iOS 13.1.4 caused the problem – but I suppose it's possible that Apple changed the software related to charging. But regardless of the iOS update, the age of the original batteries in both iPhone 6 & 7 would make it likely that, if not now, then very soon, you'll experience more battery-related problems. So my advice would be to have both batteries replaced so that your iPhones don't completely stop working at an inopportune moment.

Also, that battery health percentage isn't on a scale of 0–100%. Somewhere I recall Apple saying that 80% is the cutoff point between a good & bad battery. So your 82% is very close to that. And in case you haven't seen this:

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't charge

Thank you, Alancito, for your response and direction.

I have researched and reviewed as much as I can about this odd change. The battery health capacity is at 82% and says it is currently supporting normal peak performance.

The oddity is that when I try to charge my phone, the charging symbol is on, but my battery power is going down...or charges 4% in 40 minutes....

My power cord, wall outlets are fine and I’ve never had this problem before.

My husband’s phone (IPhone 6) has been experiencing the same battery charging issues - and this all started after updating our phones to the current IOS.

Is there any evidence that the IOS is likely the problem? And, if so, do you know of any fixes for it?

Thank you.
