How do I get iMovie to import mp4..do I need to download a file converter.?
Not all Mp4 files work with iMovie. iMovie likes Mp4/AAC. Try using the free download, Handbrake, to convert your clips to Mp4/AAC, even if they are already that. You can get Handbrake here:
After downloading, open Handbrake and do a File/Open Source. Navigate to the location of your clip and click on the clip to choose it. Then do File/Start Encoding. That should give you a clip that will work in iMovie.
