Unresponsive iPhone after sweating

Hi all,

I am in need of help. So yesterday I went jogging with my phone on my body and I sweated a lot over it. When I came back I used it and it was working perfectly fine, but after like an hour the screen started malfunctioning or rather some letters/areas unresponsive while others take longer to respond. I have tried rebooting it and same problem persists. Although, it does switch on and I do manage to respond to texts after attempts of getting the typing right. I have placed it under rice just three hours ago. Do you think I should keep on waiting for the rice or should I take it to the technician to open it up and dry it? I am afraid for it not to work nicely ever again,

Rice won't do anything. Let it sit, turned off and not plugged in for a couple of days. Don't try to turn it on or use it. Then, plug it in and charge it and see what happens. However, as sweat is quite corrosive, I suspect the damage is done. You will most likely need to have the phone replaced.

Do NOT have someone who is not an authorized Apple Service Provider or an actual Apple employee open it up. If you do, you may not be entitled to any Apple support.
