My HomePod keeps disappearing from my automations

my HomePod keeps disappearing from my automations.

I'll set it up as an accessory to play music and after a couple of days it has been removed as an accessory from all automations.

Ok too funny.

When HomePod disappeared from my 6:00 am automation yesterday I decided to try creating a scene that would set HomePod to Play a playlist. Then I added that scene to my 6:00am automation. This morning the scene was missing from the automation.

This might not be a HomePod problem. Maybe it an automation problem.

Let's see if the scene is still there tomorrow.

OK ... is there any other automation that we can get the HomePod to do besides play music from Apple Music that we have to subscribe to (besides sounding an alarm)? Wonder if there is an issue with the HomePod using data from Apple Music. Is there some other source of sound/music that HomePod can call on (as opposed to the data being pushed to it like when we play music from our iDevices to the HomePod)?

It’s. doing it again on mine.

Added back in on my iPhone (on iOS 13.5) this time, will see if they work In the morning. Not updated my iPad to 13.5 yet, because they were re- done on that. I notice the icons for HomePods keep changing,

Or maybe we need to create them on the iOS device we set up HomePod with? Makes no sense since it should work on any Home App & sync across devices signed into iCloud I had always done mine on my iPad.

Look at the HomePod icons. Both should have 3 HomePods and the Daily one show a little speaker icon. The speaker icon pops up randomly. My iPad doesn’t look like this.

Apple released new OS updates a couple of days ago. No mention of any improvements to HomeKit.

I started with updating my iPhone first. I noticed a HomeKit automation where a scene involving HomePod appeared after disappearing several days earlier. I then updated the HomePod's OS. That's when I noticed the scenes that I had set up before and disappeared, appeared again. These scenes even appeared in the Eve HomeKit app where they never have before (or at least I didn't go looking for them there).

I then opened the Home app on my iPad (where I had not updated the OS yet). The scenes could not be seen. I then updated the iPad's OS. The scenes that had reappeared on my iPhone have now also appeared on my iPad's Home app.

This morning, one of the wake up scenes involving the HomePod playing a radio station started.

Happy Days? We'll see!
