No cellular

A few days back my cellular data was disconnected because I hadn't updated my phone to the latest software. After seeing this I updated my phone to the current update. My cellular connection was restored for about six hours before disconnecting again. It says error on the cellular data tab when I go to the settings app. It shows "No Service" where the cellular bars usually are and I am not sure what to do about it. Any advice?
