Using an apple display with a PC with an HDMI port - how to do this?

Since I'm now working from home every day, I want to use my work computer (a PC) with my apple monitor.

PC is an HP with an HDMI port.

I purchased the Apple Display in early 2016 and it has a thunderbolt port (as pictured).

So, what do I need to make this work?

• An HDMI cable (with two male ends), and
• An HDMI to Thunderbolt converter (HDMI female port, and Thunderbolt male port)

Can anyone confirm, or let me know if there are any other considerations I need to be aware of?
