Backup Icon in Tray

After installing MacOS Catalina 10.15.4 I noticed a few icons in the app tray were disabled. Most are third party apps which I need to purchase upgrades. However, one of them is the Backup app. Time Machine is still functioning. Is Backup no longer needed? Will it be updated at a later date? If someone knows I would appreciate advice on what to expect. Thank you.

That's definitely not an Apple app. Whoever sold that Mac to you configured it before you got it, which was an inappropriate thing to do.

In any event the app with the orange umbrella is not Time Machine, and if you're not using that app you can delete it. Refer to How to delete apps on your Mac - Apple Support.

Thank you for contacting me. I have the Time Machine app. The app I am asking about is the one with the orange colored umbrella. It must have been an app that came with my iMac which I purchased in 2015. I have connected an external disc to use for automated back-ups via Time Machine. I can probably delete the "Backup" icon and app, but thought best to check with the experts first.
