Face ID

My Face ID stopped working so I went to reset. All it’s doing is saying move phone higher/lower. Will not let me go further? Any ideas

face id my face id is broken and i don’t know how to fix it. it keeps telling me to move phone giver and lower and this is happening because i reseted it. i did the latest update and i did reset my phone but it still doesn’t work what do i do?
