iPhone X screen turns black and display showing a vertical green line

Recently happened to my iPhone X where the device screen keeps turning black while using the phone and even at rest. However the device remained switched on, alerts and notification sound could still be heard. At some time the display will turn to normal but after a while of usage it will turn black again. At some point when the screen is on I noticed a vertical green line appear on the right hand side of the device and disappear but will reappear again after a while. I also realised that the touch sensitivity of the screen become less sensitive and will not respond to touch at some point during normal use.


Is there a fix for this problem?

I understand from your post that your iPhone X display is turning black but you can still hear alerts and notifications. Also, the touch sensitivity has become less sensitive. What you're describing sounds similar to the issue explained in this article about the iPhone X:
