Cracked screen on loaner phone

Hi all -

My iPhone 7 had a manufacturing defect that require me to send it back. I was issued a loaner iPhone 7, but all Apple stores shut down in the middle of my repair, so I’m stuck with this loaner for indefinitely.

Tonight I dropped the phone and the screen is badly cracked in multiple spots. All Apple stores are closed now so I seem to be at an impasse at what to do here.

I really want to get it serviced by a 3rd party but I’ve read I could get in trouble for that. On the other hand, I know Apple is going to make me just hold onto the phone until everything opens. I’m a frontline worker and rely on my phone 14 hours a day.

The way I see it, my options are:

-Wait it out with a broken phone and pay the repair costs on Apple’s end

-Potentially pay a 3rd party to repair the phone and risk having to pay Apple even more if they find out.

Any other ideas?
