creating contact group form a list of email addresses
is there anyway to take a group of email addresses from an email and enter them into a contact group without going through the laborious process of doing it by creating a card for each one?

There is no "mash a button, get an answer" solution to this. It may be possible with an AppleScript to extract email address information into a CSV file. That CSV file then can be imported into a New Contact group.
