Several times a day the display characters become very large and float around the display. I have to shut the display off for several min. to make it go back to a normal display. How do I fix this?

Check your zoom settings. Go into the watch app on the phone and tap on General > Accessibility and turn on/off zoom and/or adjust the zoom level.
