Should I use an external keyboard on my macbook 12 laptop with a spacebar issue?

How bad the Apple CS senior advisor's advice is!

Only a spacebar issue will make me pay $400.

Otherwise, I should use an external keyboard on my macbook 12 that I bought for using portably & conveniently by Apple CS senior advisor's advice. LOL

If I have no keyboard, should I buy this again? Getting worse.

I never expect this bad customer & technical experience with buying pricy Apple product.

Which model do you have, 2015, 2016, or 2017? Is it still under warranty? Do you have Apple Care? Is the $400 only an estimate? Where do you live? Who is doing the service, Apple or 3rd party? What's the point of having a 12" portable Mac if you have to use an external keyboard?

Try not to double post your issue, it only wastes everybody's time: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251321375

Since the issue isn't resolved to me, I keep asking what to do at my end. It's not wasting time for me and I think those are customers' authorities.

Since Apple doesn't have any good customer service like Amazon and Google, I should have kept asking here. Is anybody who know the best channel to resolve the issue? Please let me know.

First, CS advisor said my macbook is eligible for free keyboard repair program since it's 2015 early model.

Second, The authorized Apple repair shop said the Apple system said my macbook is not eligible.

Third, I asked again another CS advisor and he also said it's eligible.

Fourth, finally when i asked if "the product should be within 4 years from bought" doesn't qualify my macbook (it's 2015 early bought in Jan 2016), they said still it's eligible.

Fifth, I kept asking above expiration date, they spent 20 min and finally said, "Yes, it's not, Sorry"

What's the point to ask my issue again?

Since Apple CS advisors don't know what they do and the eligibility system is worst, customers get informed worse. Don't you think like that?

Please let me know if any of you knows the best channel to ask my issue. Thank you

The cost of the repair was determined on a number of factors, including, whether or not, you have an active AppleCare+ plan with this notebook. It also would depend on what other issues Apple found other than just the non-functioning space bar. There is nothing anyone here, as fellow Apple product users, that can help you with that cost.

The advisor did offer you an alternative to the repair and that is to use an external keyboard. Not sure if there is anything else we can offer to help you if that is the advice of the Apple technician.
