macbook keyboard repair program is nothing (should I pay $400 for a just spacebar key)
- I bought my MacBook 12 Jan in 2016 but I got the issue for a just spacebar few days ago.
- So I contacted apple customer service and they said my MacBook is eligible for free repair program. https://support.apple.com/keyboard-service-program-for-mac-notebooks
- However, I visited one apple authorized repair shop but they said it's not eligible since 4 years is little beyond (4/29/2020 today).
- I came back and contacted Apple customer service again. All specialists said it's eligible.
- But the repair shop said it's not eligible.
Issue:
Apple service said it's eligible for the repair program but repair shop said it's not.
If the keyboard repair isn't eligible, the repair cost $400 should be out of my pocket.
Then I paid a full price for the MacBook 12 and should pay $400 again.
How bad Apple's policy is.
what should I do? should I pay $400 for replacing a just one spacebar?
