Transferring music from my old iPad to my new iPad air

Hi everyone. Technology is not my strong point! I have set up my new iPad Air from scratch as I didn’t want to just transfer all the data from my old one. But, I can’t seem to get the tunes from my old iPad transferred over to the new one. I have signed into Apple Music for the free trial to see if that helped but it hasn’t. Can anyone help please, in not too techno jargon? I can hear you all laughing out there.
