Macbook Pro built-in keyboard disconnected when I open laptop

I am running MacOS Catalina 10.15.4 on my 2019 Macbook Pro.

Often, when I open my laptop, the keyboard and trackpad are unresponsive. When it happens, I have to close my laptop for several seconds, and when I open it back up, the keyboard and trackpad usually work again. If I don't close the laptop, a window will pop up after 15-30 seconds that says "Bluetooth keyboard setup. There isn't a keyboard connected."

This is increasingly and consistently happening, so if you have a solution it would be much appreciated.

I thought I was the only one going crazy, but I can assure you I'm going through same thing, except it's happening during the normal use, not open opening the macbook. The pad and keyboard simply freeze for "no reason". This must be Catalina as I had no issues while being on Mojave 2-3 weeks ago. Now I see it almost daily. Same macbook pro model.
