I needed to manage my storage on my mac book pro so i deleted my iOS files that were attached to my iphone. I used time machine before hand to back everything up to my portable HD. How can I retrieve the deleted iOS files that contained all my phone data/files etc from my portable HD?

If you enter time machine and roll back to the date before you deleted them you may be able to restore them same as any other file
