CPU temperature Vs Fan speed
8-Core Intel Xeon W
Anyone can tell what is the best temperature range of the running CPU normally? and the best range of the fan speed according to the temperature?
Thanks

Stick with Automatic. The important CPU temp is Core. Every CPU has a temp cut-off built-in that shuts down the CPU once the temp exceeds the maximum. That temp is determined by Intel. You can find it by searching through the spec sheet for the CPU in your machine.
I am not familiar with your model, so I cannot tell you if the values you posted are "normal" for that model. If those are idle readings an hour past power on, then they represent the "normal" idle temps for your machine after initial warm-up period. I don't know what utility you are using to get the various readings. I've been using iStat Menus on my machines for years. Your pic looks like it came from iStat. I do not use any fan utilities, and rely on the factory settings and controls in the SMC. At the moment my work machine is a 2019 5K 27" iMac with a 3.7GHz 6-core i5 and Radeon Pro 580X w/8GB VRAM and 16GBs of RAM. All of that are the major heat generators. The drive is an Apple 512GB SSD which also adds to the heat. Here's what my machine looks like. It shouldn't be taken as a model for your hardware which is quite different.
There are several fans inside the computer to keep it cool. A "normal" temperature is impossible to say because everyone's computer is operated differently. I would say the range of an idle computer after startup with no applications running and no third-party software or hardware in use is between 35ºC and 50ºC depending upon the CPU and model. The internal fans have different idle speeds but are always running. They are controlled by the SMC and run faster as the temperature ramps up on the sensors that are monitored. This is not under user-control.
Thank you for your prompt reply. I just wonder if I got the above data, is the Mac running in good shape? What is the difference between CPU Core and CPU Proximity? Which temperature data is the best representation that the machine is in optimal operation.
I understand what you said, every machine is operated differently depending on how many external devices and softwares are linked up with.
Actually, the fan speed in my Mac can be changed according to the temperature range in three different levels. But I just wonder how to determine what speed would be best for that particular ranges of temperature?
