backup

On my iPhone it says that 68GB is used but when i try to make a backup on my mac it only takes up 18GB. Why is that?

Keeping in mind that:

apps are never backed up using any backup method
photos and videos (if you're using iCloud Photos) aren't backed up to your computer using iTunes or Finder
if you're syncing other stuff to iCloud (contacts, calendars, reminders, notes, messages, and so on) those things aren't backed up to your computer using iTunes or Finder

yes, it can happen
