Where is Final Cut Pro trash?

When I delete something, FCPX asks if I want to move it to the trash. This suggests that it's there waiting to be delete permanently, like in the OS trash or the trash in Mail. That way, you can retrieve it before you delete permanently. So in FCPX, where are the items which have been moved to trash? They are not in the system trash and there is no trash folder in FCPX that I can see. What if I want to retrieve something I moved to trash? How do I do it? What if I do want to totally erase it? How do I do that?

So if you want to retrieve it, before you close it, you have to go to the finder and open the bundle? And if you close it, it's then permanently deleted? That feels very strange that it is deleted permanently without warning, since most other trash situations give you a very distinct confirmation to permanently delete, but if that's the case, then good to know! Thanks.
