work ipad has personal Apple ID signed in, I want to use create and use another Apple ID for work, separate from my personal one

I have a work Ipad that is supervised but I was able to sign in with my personal Apple ID. But now some of my personal stuff is on my work ipad (music, Books). So I'd like to clear my personal ID and create a new Apple ID just for the work Ipad to keep them completely separate. I have "removed from account" my work ipad from my apple ID in iCloud settings but all my stuff is still on the work ipad, it just keeps prompting me to sign in with my Apple ID on the ipad. Is there any way to actually "clear" the Apple ID from my work ipad? On the ipad, the area where I could sign out is greyed out so nothing happens when I click there. Likely because it is supervised. It just seems weird that it will let me sign in but not out.

Thanks for your help!

If your iPad is “supervised”, you’ll need to contact your System Administrator - as they will control what can (and can’t) be accomplished on the devices that they manage/supervise.

Other than “managed” Educational environments, where device sharing is common in classroom, iOS/iPadOS devices are generally intended to be single-user appliances.
