How can I update apps downloaded with previous password?

You are welcome. As long as you are signing in using the same Apple ID, you shouldn't lose anything. Your data is tied to the Apple ID.

Previous password or previous Apple ID? If the password, have you tried signing out of the App Store/iTunes, restarting, and then signing back in?
If a previous Apple ID, those purchases are tied to the other ID and can't be transferred. One option is to delete the apps/purchases made by the other ID and download them using the new ID if desired. If necessary, check your purchases history to see which apps/purchases weren’t made by the current ID.
Or you can try to set up Family Sharing to keep access to your purchases.
Thanks. If I sign out and download apps with new password but same I’d, will I lose all my contacts and messages?
