SSH Shortcuts from Shortcuts App on iPhone Don't Work on Apple Watch

Hello Everyone,

I'm having an issue that I cannot seem to find much about anywhere online. I have created many shortcuts in the app on my iPhone, which is paired to my Apple Watch Series 5. These shortcuts work perfectly fine on my phone, but when I ask Siri to perform them from my watch, she responds with "Hmm, something went wrong. Run Script Over SSH could not connect to the SSH server. You can continue in the app."

I am authenticating using the SSH Key generated by the shortcuts app, I'm not sure if the Apple Watch would be trying to use a different key? My server's logs do not seem to indicate any failed attempts.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hello Matt_Dittmer,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're having trouble running Shortcuts from your Apple Watch. I'd be happy to share information that may help.

Take a look at the information in this article: Use Siri Shortcuts. "Shortcuts that require an app to open on your iOS device might not work on HomePod and Apple Watch."

If you need further assistance with this, please reply with the following details:

-Have you ever been able to run these Shortcuts from your Apple Watch?

-Which iOS and watchOS version are you using?

Take care.
